Switching light to weave entanglement
We develop quantum-entangling solutions based on integrated photonic circuits that meet the requirements of high performance and low-loss essential for quantum networking.

Our proprietary photonic switching technology uses integrated photonics and waveguide-integrated detectors, capable of multiplexing photonic Bell-state measurements. These quantum photonic chips enable high connectivity whilst minimising loss, and allow us to shrink the footprint of the photonic layer. This layer supports high-rate, high-fidelity entanglement links, underpinned by stringent requirements on fiber-to-chip coupling, component loss, switch cross-talk and detector efficiency. Our photonic chips are designed to live inside our quantum networking units (QNUs), and are custom-built to support a particular qubit wavelength or network connectivity.
